April 2015: Easter

We did Easter without Brian this year since he was still at Basic.  Here are the kids dying eggs.
BreeAnna wanted proof that the Easter Bunny was real this year.  Happily, he obliged.
Here are the kids finding their baskets.
It was harder than usual to get pictures of the Sotto egg hunt and Judy's and Steve's house this year being by myself with the 4 kids.  Here's Emary finding an empty egg.
Judy and Grandpa helped Ethan a lot.
I don't think they minded.

March 2015:San Antonio Trip

In March of 2015 Brian graduated from Basic Training to be the in Air Guard and Aaron and I flew to San Antonio, TX for his graduation.  It was so fun.  We were so proud of him.  He was the Dorm Chief and his flight was the Honor Flight.
Aaron was our camera man.  There were lots of birds he had never seen before and he kept trying to get pictures of them in flight.  As a result, most of our pictures of the trip look like this one.
We did get to see the Alamo.
And Aaron did get a few good shots in the garden behind the Alamo.
The Riverwalk was an amazing place!  We went on a boat tour and it was neat to see all the shops on either side and hear the history of San Antonio.
Brian even paid for a Mariachi band to serenade us!
The last day we went to Sea World.
Aaron decided his favorite animal was an orca after the shows.
Aaron also rode on his first roller coaster.  We didn't make him go, we just suggested he could if he wanted to so we rode it.  He didn't like it at all!  He closed his eyes the whole time and when we got off the ride he ducked behind a shed to compose himself. It was pretty intense.
It was a great trip. The Pilot of the return flight even let him come up to the cockpit before takeoff.

August 2016: Mitchell's & Sheri's Reception

The reception was beautiful.  I remember there was quiche served and I had never had a good quiche in my life until I had that one and it was amazing!
We saw some old friends unexpectedly.  Hayley's parents, Karen & Geoff Heath made it which was a wonderful surprise.
Here's a nice blackmail picture of Ethan for when he is dating.
Emary had a good time although I'm not quite sure what she is doing here.
Aaron managed to photo bomb the cake cutting.
It turned out the Grace Candland was a good friend of Sheri's. I was her babysitter when she was a toddler.  Here is her Mom and mine.
Aaron was quite the dancer as well.  He and Natalie had a ball.  When he danced with me he tried to dip me though, and being twice his height it didn't work very well; I fell right on my rear-end.  Still, lots of fun.

August 2016: Mitchell's & Sheri's Wedding

What an awesome day!  It was so wonderful to see my baby brother so happy.
It was lots of fun too.  It's not often that we get all of my siblings together.
I'll never forget what a pain those flower girl dresses were.  It turned out that they were a little too see-through so my mom ended up sewing lining into the skirts at the 11th hour. They sure were cute though.  BreeAnna's headless bouquet always makes me laugh.  She didn't want to feel left out and we had used the flowers for something else. so she decided to hold the stems.
And it's so fun to see Mitchell with all of these men since he was the only boy for so long!
