No More All Nighters

And this is what happens when you get up at midnight to play pbskids.org until 5:00 in the morning.
Did I mention that he never actually went to sleep before midnight either.  Yeah, he pulled an all nighter.  Then, when I woke him up after a 2 hour nap (his first since he was 2 years old) he said, "I wasn't really asleep.  I was just pretending."  Right.  For 2 hours.

Lemonade Stand

I actually didn't expect a profit from this venture, but I was pleasantly surprised.  The 4 partners (BreeAnna, Emary, & 2 friends) received a quarter of the profits, each share amounting to $1.40.
Thanks to our elderly neighbors out for a walk and the nice police officer who stopped by and talked to the kids about strangers.  Thanks for paying an entire $1 for the cup of strawberry juice where the lemonade was only .25 (they put the signs on the pitchers after I supervised the setup.  I was unaware of the price hike).

Library Dance Party

At the end of the summer our library (which sits on the corner of Maple and Syrup streets) has a pancake party with music.  I got some good pics of the kids rockin' out.  None of Aaron.  He was dressed all in black being a stealthy ninja.

Family Temple Trip

Our babysitter fell through so we decided to take the whole family to the temple.

Grandma Perry's Raspberry Jam

A food worth fighting for.

New in House Chefs

July 12: BreeAnna & Emary took it upon themselves to make lunch for us on Sunday before church.  They microwaved cheese tortillas.  They were chewylcious.  Yes, those are marshmallows and chocolate chips on the table.  They even made place cards!  What great helpers.n

Super Hero Training Camp

We have a great Library Program and this year the theme was "Every Hero Has a Story."  July 8th was Super Hero Training Camp.  Here are our homemade costumes.
Stupendous Man (I love Calvin & Hobbes)
 Wonder Woman
 Hawk Girl
 Queen Jada
Eltons Assemble!

Ethan's First Firecrackers

BreeAnna's Baptism

 Daddy & BreeAnna
 Family
Mitchell and our new Aunt Sheri! Soon.

New InnoTabs

The kids got InnoTabs for their birthdays.  We've been having fun.

Swimming Lessons

The kids did 2 swimming sessions this year.  Aaron can now swim laps for 30 minutes.  BreeAnna is also swimming several different strokes, and Emary will now put her face in the water and blow nose bubbles.  Baby steps.

Of course, with Ethan around, I can only handle getting out the camera on Pirate Safety Day.  Aaron is the one holding the sword.
And Jumping off the diving board.
BreeAnna & Emary
Looking cool.

Looking for the ball.

Free To Be Wild

We went to Free to be Wild at the Boise Zoo.  We had a blast!
Aaron certainly was wild :)

Brian was the only one who managed to attract a BUTTerfly :) tee hee hee
BreeAnna was going for a leopard with her face paint I think, but she couldn't resist the pink.
Ethan doesn't seem to recognize her.
Emary wanted a butterfly on her face, but she also wanted to fangs...so she got fangs.

And Aaron managed to get a last minute face paint before closing.  I think he thought we was too old at first, but when it came down to it there would have been tears had he not gotten his dragon face...or snake face...or whatever it is.

Orange Belt

Aaron got his orange belt! June 22

Mitchell's Getting Married...and the kids have the heebie-geebies.

I did not set the kids up  to this.  I just asked them to repeat it for the camera.  We were talking about Mitchell proposing to Sheri and this scenario transpired.

Emary's 4th Birthday

I tried my hand at cake pops this year.  I will not be doing it again until I have a double-boiler.  It was really hard to keep the melting chocolate liquid long enough to coat the cake. But they turned out alright.  At least I wouldn't post them on the Pinterest Fail boards.
They are Octonauts by the way.
And I didn't get one picture that wasn't fuzzy.
 They just move too fast.
But here is the favorite gift.

Boating with Grandpa & Grandma Elton

Grandpa Elton too us out in his new boat.  Here's some after pics.

Good Times: Pinewood Derby & Daddy Daughter Date

Aaron got sick the day before the pinewood derby, but he couldn't stand the thought of not racing his new car, so he sent his sisters and his Dad to do it.  They brought him back some awards! April 23rd.
And the girl's went on a Daddy Daughter Date with Grandpa Elton.

All ready to go!  Actually, I think this was in February :)

Time for a Haircut (actually, WAY past time)

Aaron needed a haircut SO bad.
 Before
 During
After. Much better.
